In other words, they don't promote a proper walking posture. Instruction You can choose the inserts' orientations depending on your walking posture. E.g., when I walk barefoot, I put a little more pressure on the inner side of my feet. So, to even the pressure, I align the insert's thicker side with the outer side of my feet. But on the other hand, I could also align the thicker side with the inner side of my feet to provide more support. Ultimately, I'd suggest placing the inserts under your feet and trying different positions to find the most comfortable one before you peel off the film and affix the inserts to your shoes.
